Eligibility
Mudita Circle
Only 15% of the population are eligible to practise and be on the Mudita spiritual path.
The Mudita spiritual path is not open to everyone. When a person expresses interest in learning, we must seek Divine approval to determine their eligibility to practise. If the person is deemed ineligible, it will be for one or more of the following reasons. However, someone who is not eligible now may become eligible in the future if they are willing to take steps to make changes in their spiritual practice..
Here are the reasons why people do not qualify for the 15% group eligible to practise and follow the Mudita spiritual path.
Spiritual Blockages
Spiritual blockages are often caused by a lack of spiritual cultivation in past lives. If one did not perform enough positive actions in previous lives to accumulate karmic credits, one may lack the good fortune to engage in spiritual practice in this lifetime.
1. No Spiritual Affinity
- You are not yet ready to embark on the Mudita spiritual journey. The timing is not right, and there are other things you need to learn and understand in this lifetime.
2. Undergoing Karmic Lesson
- You are going through a difficult time or experiencing pain due to your past actions, which may stem from this lifetime or previous ones. The hardship or pain you are facing now cannot be easily resolved. It is something you need to endure in order to learn your lesson.
3. Spiritually Small
- You don’t see yourself as spiritually capable. You often believe you need to be 'saved' or need salvation or that you need spiritual protection rather than guidance. You frequently ask for blessings in your favour through prayer. Rituals and spiritual objects provide you with a sense of comfort.
Mindset Blockages
Mindset blockages usually arise from your upbringing, environment, education and the people around you.
4. Desire Spiritual 'Insurance'
- You practise many spiritual disciplines and are always seeking new ones to increase your spiritual power. You believe that the more spiritual practices you learn, the stronger or more protected and 'insured' you become. This feeds your ego and becomes a blockage.
5. Fixed Mindset
- You already have a spiritual or religious teacher and developed a fixed mindset and beliefs about spirituality. It is very difficult for you to unlearn what you have learned and accept new teachings. Your deeply ingrained mindset regarding spirituality is a significant barrier, making it very challenging to let go of previously acquired beliefs and embrace alternative teachings.
- You believe in Western medical practices (surgery, chemotherapy, etc.) and plan to use spiritual healing as a complement to Western medicine. You think that practising both Western and Eastern wellness gives you the best of both worlds.
6. No Commitment
- You do not have a committed goal to pursue the spiritual path. With half-heartedness, you merely wish to observe.
- You have learned many spiritual practices but have not continued to practise them most of the time. You are curious about new teachings but lack the commitment to practise them for the long term. “No time” is your usual excuse.
- You have been told about your shortcomings or negative traits, such as gossiping or having a bad temper, that you need to improve. However, you never make any effort to change. You continue as before, using your character as an excuse.
7. Helping Others Who Have Karmic Lessons
- You want to learn with the intention of helping others, not realising that others have their own karma to balance through their karmic lessons in this life. Your ignorance may lead you to bear their karma.
- You want to make money from solving other people’s spiritual issues which are due to their karma.
8. Unable To Forgive
- You feel that others should be blamed for the hardships in your life. You hold grudges and are unwilling to forgive.
9. Ungrateful
- Good things have happened to you, but you haven't acknowledged them nor expressed gratitude. You think they happened by chance or that you were just lucky. You hope for a miracle yet never appreciate the small things in your life.
- You are reluctant to share the results of your spiritual practice. You are ashamed to admit that you belong to a spiritual group.
